Riley T. Bowman

This week’s episode is an interview with Riley Bowman from concealedcarry.com. Riley is the Creator and host of The Concealed Carry Podcast,  oversees content production, and is also the director of training.  Riley is an NRA Pistol Instructor, a Colorado P.O.S.T. Certified Law Enforcement Handgun and Patrol Rifle Instructor. He recently  won his division of the Rocky Mountain Regional Championship of The American Marksman competition and was a finalist at the National Championship.

In this interview we discuss the results of his recent study on the effectiveness of armed civilians in stopping mass shootings. Riley and his team analyzed three FBI reports covering 18 years of active shooter events and some information from the crime prevention research center. The research showed that out of 286 active shooting events 94% of the time armed citizens were effective in stopping or slowing down a mass shooter. You can find the report and the raw data here
